You will have a leading role in a rapidly growing multi-disciplinary team, developing our state-of-the-art sensor technologies across an expanding portfolio of projects.
The successful candidate will likely have a mechanical engineering bias, but be familiar with electronics and instrumentation. A good level of knowledge and expertise in sensor operations associated in various operational settings is required. This will include rotating equipment and highly dynamic thermal environments.
As the technology application is multi-sector, experience of delivering complex sensor solutions into at least two and ideally more of aerospace, pharmaceutical, production industries is preferable.
You will be an innovative and creative engineer, with an appropriate degree and a minimum of 10 years’ experience. Proficient at developing experimental technology design concepts into optimised prototypes as a result of rigorous testing and development programmes, through to product solutions.
This is a key role that is central to our R&D team, developing high technology sensors for use in multiple sectors. You will be responsible for defining and delivering R&D test programmes, analysing output data to optimising performance. Experience of operating Mechanical and Electronic test/data acquisition equipment, typical to thermodynamics and fluid dynamics testing in laboratory and preproduction environments is required.
Experience in small scale prototype component design, manufacture and assembly is desirable, while a demonstrated ability to operate in accordance with Safe Systems of Work is a prerequisite.
The successful candidate will be qualified to minimum HNC/HND, be an innovative thinker and creative engineer with 5 to 10 years’ experience.
